Thanksgiving
Hello everyone! Thank you for all the lovely comments on the site and for all the emails. We are back at home in Seward and very glad to be here. We were discharged from the hospital Wednesday, 24 hours after Isla was born. Since it was late in the day we decided to have one final night in Anchorage at the condo before heading home Thanksgiving morning. We were extremely happy to make it home after a long, slow car ride. Conditions were very icy and so we had to be even more careful than usual since we now have such a precious little bundle. We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Tougas family who were very eager to meet the new addition to the family. Isla is doing very well, and continues to fascinate and delight us. We are discovering that she is a little bit of a nocturnal animal, which is making life interesting! Our little cat Evie, doesn’t quite know what to make of the new member of our family- she is treating her very suspiciously at the moment!

It’s a Girl!
Isla Ellen Tougas was born on Nov. 25th at 5:25pm. She is a very healthy ten pound baby! April is well and we are both happy and tired. Thank you everyone for your well wishes they really helped. Paul
Still in Anchorage
D-day + 4 no baby yet but we are having a nice time relaxing and eating good food in the big city. April has a needle point project that she is working hard on. She is doing great and the baby IS on its way, I assure her. Thank you guys for all of the well wishes. We’ll keep you updated. Paul
No Baby Yet
We are now officially overdue by two days and no sign of the baby wanting to make an appearance anytime soon. I am starting to think it wants to hang around in there for the full 42 weeks. I hope not since as it is I have already wasted nearly two weeks of my maternity leave with no baby.
Hopefully we will have some better news sometime SOON!
