Four Months

Isla had her four  month check up today. She is now 26 inches long and 16.9 pounds! Amazing that she has grown five inches in four months, no wonder she is growing out of all her clothes really quickly! She is most interested at the moment in putting everything in her mouth; hands, toys, blankets and bibs. Trying to roll over has taken a back seat to this new obsession so she still hasn’t made it all the way over by herself yet. Paul is sure that her hair is starting to get thicker, but I’m not entirely convinced just yet!four-months.jpgfists.jpgrattle.jpg

Paul and Isla Playing

Some of Isla’s giggles caught on camera, enjoying playing with her Dad.

Moose

This evening as we were making dinner, we glanced over and saw this Mama moose and her nearly grown calf enjoying a meal of the neighbour’s tree. As you can hear in the background our hens were not too impressed by the visitors!

Trip to Anchorage

Paul, Isla and I have just got back from a trip to Anchorage. We had two nights of very poor sleeps since it turns out Isla now knows when she isn’t in her own bed and she doesn’t like it! We are hoping she is over that by the time she goes to New Zealand or it might be a very long five weeks for me! Fingers crossed that she goes back to normal tonight.

While we were in Anchorage we got Isla the next car seat that she will shortly need,  as well as a jumper. The pictures show her enjoying trying them out when we got home. We also visited with Pam. Isla is showing off her new sweater that Pam knitted her in the photo.

Isla has perfected the half roll and spends a lot of time rolling from her back to her side and then back again. She still hasn’t made it right over to her stomach yet but it looks like it could be any time soon. She always manages to roll so that she is off her mat, and likes to make sure her little naked bottom is no longer sitting on the waterproof mat to catch any accidents.

My first video editing attempt!

Twin Day

This week at school we have had ‘Spirit Week.’ Where children have to dress up to show their school spirit. Monday was pajama day, Tuesday hat day, Wednesday wacky hair and tomorrow is twin day. Here are Isla and I dressed up as twins in our matching outfits. Unfortunately I won’t be able to have my twin at school with me tomorrow so a photo will have to do! We only have two more school days until we have a week off for Spring Break!! twins.jpg

Isla ready to travel

Isla received her passport in the mail this week and as you can see from the photo she is very excited about her upcoming trip to New Zealand! We have all had a good week of school/work/kicking and cooing but all three of us are looking forward to the Spring Break that is coming up at the end of next week.
