A trip to the Alaska State Fair

We used some of this long weekend for an enjoyable trip north to the state fair. The weather was great and it was nice to spend a few nights in Anchorage enjoying the big city.

April and Isla were very patient while I ate one of the four meals I had that day, I love food that comes from a cart or stand!

Made it to Alaska

Hello folks.  I have made it to Alaska with all of my stuff and in good time.  It wasn’t the greatest trip ever but things did go as scheduled.  I had a great time in Southland and already miss my special girls!  It is nice to smell the Alaska spring though.  Everything is green and now, 11:25 at night, is still light as day.  Paul

We Made It!!

We made it to New Zealand and were very glad to get to Christchurch and be met at the airport by Angus. Isla was a wonderful little girl and except for some very loud unhappiness when we descended into Christchurch, behaved very well. She slept beautifully on the flight from San Francisco to Auckland and we were lucky enough to get one of the baby basinetts. We were very glad we made her little bed and she slept in it on the floor under the seats on some of our shorter flights as well as slept under chairs in the various airports enroute. Angus, Janet and Isabel are away to a funeral this afternoon, so we are enjoying a quiet afternoon getting settled in. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon! Mum and Dad frolicking

mum-and-dad-frolicking.JPGToday we had a nice drive over to Cooper landing for lunch. Mum and Dad were pleased to see some fresh snow fall and enjoyed a brief play in it on the way home.

Some new photos of Isla taken yesterday in her new cardigan. One of them she is busy talking which is why her mouth is wide open and mum-and-dad-frolicking-2.JPGtalking.JPGeating-her-fist.JPGisla-trip-to-cooper-landing.JPGthe other she is doing her new favorite activity- sucking on her fist. The other is from today all bundled up in her car seat. We don’t often see Isla with her eyes open in the car seat, because usually within seconds of getting in it she is beginning to fall asleep!
